Welcome to my Nikemare...

As spring nears in Edmonton, heads begin to think about what fresh joints they'll break out of the freezer.  The Hat Rod's are out of the running but the Huf Max and the Air Max 97 x 360 might see daylight.

If you're out there let me know it; have yo' say on which shits get play.

The best sociologist ever (sorry mom)...

There is no finer insight into gang culture than this.  Plus, this cat's back-story is killer.  I just hope that when the NY Times winds up that there will be a market for what this fella' is sellin'

Welcome to Tirau

Tirau, New Zealand is a smallish town that I had the good fortune to roll through on the way to Mata Mata.  As you can see the entire town has these distinctive corrugated metal sculptures; the dog and sheep are in fact the tourist office and much of the local business advertising are art pieces.

These photos were taken in 2008 while my wife and I were in NZ on a return visit after getting married in Fiji

The Pakistan Time Forgot.

Since I had the chance to travel in Pakistan (2005) things have become even less stable than usual.  Here are some photos from the Khunjerab Pass; since the earthquake I can't even say whether the Snow Leopard sanctuary still exists.

The trip was like a Bollywood film, an assault on the senses - of the most fantastic sort!

A flower can strike a chord with anyone of any age; it produces a reaction akin to great tunes or great tastes.  To me, this celebrates the greatest parts of our humanity.

When I was a kid everyone at school used to bug me about how New York was 'da big apple' and Edmonton was'Da core'; I wish our mayoral elections were more like Soci, imagine what a side-line view of this would be like!
